Darlene, Office Manager
Darlene has the imperative job of running our two offices with exceptional productivity. She has been in the medical service profession since 1986 with much passion and dedication. Prior to joining our team in the winter of 2014, Darlene was a customer service manager with a reputable insurance company for 21 years.
She loves to spend time with her husband and three sons, two of whom are married. When it’s time to relax, you can find Darlene cooking or reading.
Carol, Treatment Coordinator
The first relationship our new patients establish is with our treatment coordinators. Carol, who is also a certified dental assistant, provides important information about your customized treatment plan from the primary visit to the completion of treatment. Working closely with the doctors, she will ensure a fluid transition into treatment.
Outside of work, Carol enjoys DIY projects and decorating, as well as spending time with her husband and two adult children.
Lisa P., Clinical Coordinator
Lisa, our clinical coordinator and certified orthodontic assistant, has more than 15 years in the orthodontic field. In 2006, she joined our team with great enthusiasm. As the clinical coordinator, Lisa ensures that all of our clinicians maintain high standards by using cutting-edge technology and pursue continuing orthodontic education. The comfort and happiness of our patients is Lisa’s number-one priority.
Lisa lives in Colfax with her husband, daughter, and labradoodle Twiggy. In her spare time she enjoys attending her daughter’s soccer games, decorating, and baking.
Friendly, outgoing, and warm, Emily loves working at an orthodontic practice where we put the patients’ needs and comfort above everything else. She spends time getting to know our patients and their families and looks forward to seeing patients at their regular visits.
With a full home life, including a husband, two dogs, and a new son, Emily keeps busy. By the way, she’s an avid UNC Tarheel fan.
Sarah has been part of the Mitchell and Bartlett team for the several years. She enjoys getting to know each patient and sharing in the experience of creating new smiles. You will always find Sarah with a positive attitude and bright smile.
Her home life is spent with her husband and young daughter. Sarah loves the beach, Wolfpack sports, and being with friends and family members.
Rachel joined our practice in 2013 and loves working with our patients. She particularly enjoys getting to know them on a personal level and seeing how happy each person is at the end of their treatment when they see their beautiful new smile. Rachel is always focused on the patient’s needs during the visit and is here to make sure everything goes perfectly for them.
Sharing her life with her husband and children, Rachel loves family travels. She also volunteers with the Girl Scouts, her church, and at her children’s schools.
Jessica has worked in the orthodontic profession for 15 years and is a certified orthodontic assistant. She finds it rewarding to help our patients achieve healthy smiles! Talking with our patients and discussing their latest hobbies, as well as showing them the progress we’re making toward their new smile, is what keeps Jessica passionate about orthodontics.
Away from her job, family and friends are at the top of Jessica’s priorities. She is an active leader in the Girl Scouts, volunteers at her daughter’s school, and loves to travel.
In the summer of 2014, Valerie joined our practice. She has worked in the medical profession for a few years now as a dental and chiropractic assistant. Valerie is currently in college, preparing to enroll in the dental hygiene program. Fluent in Spanish, Valerie is a great resource in making our Spanish speaking patients comfortable.
When she has free time, Valerie enjoys playing soccer, baking, and is a master in the yoga studio. She also shares her free time with her family, friends, and dog.
Kathy, Lab and Records Coordinator
Kathy’s been with our practice since 2003, when we opened! She is the first person our patients see as they begin their orthodontic process and the last person they see when they get their braces off. Kathy is a master at taking impressions on even the most anxious and sensitive patients. She always goes above and beyond to keep our lab running smoothly with precision.
Kathy lives in Summerfield with her husband and two dogs, Rusty and Stella. She loves baking, gardening, and spending time with her two adult sons.
Paula, Lab and Records Coordinator
With more than 25 years of experience in the dental field, Paula offers a great deal of knowledge to our patients. As our patients begin their orthodontic process, Paula is the first person they see. She is also the last person the patient sees when they get their braces off. Paula says that watching each person’s enthusiasm about getting a new smile, and helping in that process, is very fulfilling.
When she is not at work, spending time with her family is a priority for Paula. She also enjoys traveling and sports.
Lisa C., Scheduling Coordinator
With nearly a decade of experience in the orthodontic field, Lisa’s adept at answering questions from patients and parents, explaining complicated processes in an easy-to-understand manner. Even better, Lisa’s outgoing and friendly. She loves talking with and getting to know our patients, which ensures that every visit is a great experience!
Lisa lives in High Point with her family, including three dogs, three horses, and a ferret! She loves to ride her horses and spend time with loved ones and friends.
Dawn, Scheduling Coordinator
As one of our scheduling coordinators, Dawn understands the importance of accommodating the busy schedule of each patient. Her goal is to keep a smooth running office by focusing on the importance of the patient’s scheduling needs. Dawn has several years of experience in the dental field and has enjoyed the transition from general dentistry to orthodontics.
Dawn shares her life with her daughter and two dogs Daisy and Buster Brown. She loves to spend time with her family and friends.
Beth, Scheduling Coordinator
Beth joined our practice in 2014 and is new to the Greensboro area. She moved here from Charleston, South Carolina, where she worked as a receptionist in a pediatric dental office. Very patient-focused, Beth works hard to be accommodating to all of our patients. She is the friendly voice at the other end of the phone and the smile that greets you when you arrive for your appointment. She’s approachable and knowledgeable, and loves to make people smile!
Away from work, Beth enjoys spending time with her husband and young daughter, especially in the great outdoors.
Bobbie, Financial Coordinator
Working one-on-one with our patients and families, Bobbie figures out financial and payment schedules that fit with a family’s budget. She knows it’s essential that treatment happens when it’s most needed, so she’ll strive to find an arrangement that works. Seeing the happiness on parents’ faces when they realize they can afford orthodontics for their child always makes Bobbie feel good.
Her home life is centered on her husband and two sons, and Bobbie loves to watch her boys play baseball and football. Oh, and drag racing is her favorite way to de-stress.
Tonya, Patient Relations Coordinator
Tonya, our patient relations coordinator, is our go-to person when the community and our patients need support with charitable organizations and donations. Since she has a passion for community outreach, she facilitates the support of local sports teams, schools, and charity events, such as the Lung Care Initiative.
Tonya spends time with her husband of 19 years, two very active teenagers, and the family dog Lyla. She enjoys competitive tennis, custom monogramming, and travel, and she is a long-time PTA member and community volunteer, too.
Phil, Insurance Coordinator
When a patient has questions about insurance coverage and how to make the most of benefits, Phil’s the team member who has the answers. He passed the CPA exam in 1982 and has worked as an accountant for more than 40 years. Phil enjoys being in an office where the focus is on making patients’ lives better, and he loves being surrounded by smiles!
Phil has two adult children, whom he likes to help with their home projects. He also enjoys a game of tennis with his wife, but never wins when they play!
