Message about ALL PATIENT appointments

Due to the Covid-19 virus, we have closed our offices to keep our patients and staff healthy. We’re holding off on rescheduling an in-person appointment until we know more about when we can reopen. In the meantime, we are still available to you by phone, email and virtual consultations!

For NEW PATIENTS and GROWTH OBSERVATION APPOINTMENTS:

We have new virtual consultation tools available!  There is NO COST for a virtual consultation (VC).

VC can be done through the “Virtual Smile Consultation” button on our website https://www.mbsmiles.com/.  There you can submit photos and information about your orthodontic concerns.  There is a video tutorial on taking photos at our FB & Instagram pages.  Dr. Mitchell or Dr. Bartlett will respond with an emailed report and may suggest a follow-up video conference (FaceTime or Zoom).

For START PATIENTS:

If you were scheduled to start treatment during the Covid-19 closure period, one of our treatment coordinators will reach out to you individually to reschedule your appointment as soon as possible.

For ACTIVE PATIENTS:

To help determine whether a virtual progress check (VPC) is needed, please consider the following questions:

  1. Is anything loose, broken, or bothering you/your child?  Y/N
  2. Are elastics being worn full time?  Y/N
  3. Is any type of headgear being worn?  Y/N
  4. Is there any orthodontic device being activated at home, such as an expander?  Y/N
  5. Is there anything you’re concerned about? (for example, something you think might overcorrect if it’s active for too long)  Y/N
  6. Are you in aligners and due to get new ones?  Y/N

IF THE ANSWER TO ANY OF THESE QUESTIONS IS YES, THEN WE RECOMMEND A VPC via Zoom or FaceTime.  You may email us at records@mbsmiles.com to request this.  We will reply with appointment times for you to choose from.  You may also submit photos through our Virtual Smile Consultation button on our website https://www.mbsmiles.com/.  There is a video tutorial on taking photos at our FB & Instagram pages.
